John Fritz who's endured more than his share of downs over the past few years could certainly use some prayers at this time.

Linda Fritz, John's wife was diagnosed recently with breast cancer. Within the last couple of weeks she had surgery to remove the cancer via a masectomy - at that time the doctors' discovered a tumor in the lymph nodes and a number of those
needed to be removed as well. She is classified in a Stage 3 state now and begins what the doctors' are describing as a very aggressive chemotherapy regimin on Wednesday of this next week. Anyone familiar with this type of cancer and therapy knows the challenge that lies ahead for their family.

John and Linda have three small children and all they've asked is that we please keep them in our prayers.

    Thanks!

I will lift up John's wife to my Lord and Saviour. Thank you for sharing this need and I also pray that fellow Christians here will bombard heaven with prayers. Our prayers are always heard and I have been on both ends of seeing prayer work! Sometimes we don't understand things, but if we live by faith and not by sight, we know that our Creator has a reason and purpose for all things.

I will keep John and Linda in my prayers. Evans is right... prayer does work, and I've seen it from both ends, too. God Bless you all!

    Thanks for the heads-up Steve.

John - You can be sure that your Buick family here has you, your wife, and your kids covered in Prayer!!!

    James 5

14 Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. 16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

    Dear John & Linda:
I am so sorry to hear that you have all of this before you but as a cancer survivor myself I must say I can understand your fears. Please know that you have our support and our prayers. I have been cancer free for over five years and I still remember all too well the the low times during my treatment. With support and determination all will be well. There is definately life after chemotherapy. If you have any concerns or just feel like talking I would be a very good listener. You can call me at (440) 285-1839 any time! Take Care and God Bless Sandy & Gary Paine

Thanks Everyone I know the words of support and the lending of an ear - often times the thing that someone dealing will an illness has the least are of great encouragement for Linda and John.

Thats some real crummy news. Me and the family are praying concerning this.

    1 Peter 1-6

Though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that your faith-of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire-may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.

    Thanks

    Howdy Folks,

I just wanted to Thank everyone for the prayers, positive personal history, and extending a helping hand (or ear).

Sorry I could not respond earlier but things have been hectic .

Linda and I just got back from the surgery to put the porta cath in .

Poor thing cannot use her right arm from the cancer surgery, and now the porta cath on the other side is making the left side difficult to use.

We have to be back at the hospital in the morning to check her heart, so they can refer back to it's current condition and make sure all the chemo is not damaging it.

Anyhow other than that, just taking things a day, or minute, at a time.We have been praying for peace in the midst of all this and God has been merciful.

When I thought we couldn't pay for the van one month an unmarked envelope arrived with the exact amount (only one "outside person" knew about it and he didn't have it I know).

On Fathers Day someone gave us a gift certificate for a meal for us and our 3 children.

Even with the certificate we went over a little with the tip and all.
When we pulled up into the driveway a guy from church who has never even been to my house was waiting on us.

We walked around a little bit and then he said John, this is going to sound a little wierd but I was on my way home from work when I was told (Holy Spirit inside speaking) "Someone needs some money" he said he was kind of stunned because it was very clearly being laid on his heart so he said "Ok, who needs money?" "John Fritz" he went to the bank and took out what he was led to get and then gave it to us.
He apologized saying it wasn't much but it was almost EXACTLY what we had to put on our charge card to settle the bill.

I know I am "running long" here and many may not read it but those who have experienced God in these times of normal darkness (under current conditions ie cancer) will recognize what I am sharing.

God expects us to trust Him, but He doesn't let us see Him in the flesh so to speak. It is kinda like when Moses told God he wanted to see Him. God put Moses in a spot on the side of a mountain and allowed Moses only to see the tail end of Him as He passed by.

I am more alert to the same kind of thing these days.I still haven't been paid from July 1st till today (southern Textiles for you).

You know what though? God has been with us and we have more money than we ever had to pay the bills from blessing after blessing.

Do we see it coming or know when it is coming? Nope.
BUT when it happens and it is "passing by" we realize "that was God".

Just like with Moses, God doesn't always let us see the whole answer.

Ok, I' am starting to feel like a preacher or something but I swore I would not keep all these blessings hidden.

Main thing is God has been faithful in everything to us through this and we have faith His will, will be done, and we will accept it whatever that may be.

I pray it is the cancer going away never to return and my wife and me enjoying watching our children grow.

I also pray that we will be able to bless other people through this experience.God IS good and we are being blessed everyday with His presence in our lives.

Thanks for your continued prayers everyone:TU:

  18. and thank you for sharing your thoughts as well John.
please keep us up to date.
for a christmas present i had my cath taken out, i will pray your wife can give herself the same type of gift.
