Did you really let your regal go to the junkyard?:puzzled: Did they crush it allready.

It really would have been nice if you would have given the people that helped assemble that thing a chance to buy it from you. :( That car deserved better than being crushed.

Why did you take apart a complete and running car.

I seem to remember a post a few months back about being burned out with that car, maybe last winter/spring? If true, bummer it got crushed. But I thought I saw it offered for sale too?

IT HAS NOT BEEN CRUSHED!!!!!! the reason I got rid of it are as follows:
1: seat belt shoulder harness mounting area was removed.

2: it developed numerous electrical wiring problems (no headlights, turn signals, both power windows quit working)

3:I simply was not enjoying the car like I had hoped to. I only put 100 miles on it in the time I owned it. I thought about this many times, that I wanted to have a 4 door sleeper again.so when I came across one I could get for FREE, the decision was made.

I tried to locate another 80's 4 door Buick, but the derby guys have grabbed them up around here

nothing went to waste, I removed the:
    front brake calipers
    master cylinder
    complete rear axle,
    rear springs
    complete exhaust system
    trans crossmember
    front and rear shocks
    fuel cell,fuel pump
    fuel lines
    trans cooler & braided lines
remote oil filter kit & braided lines
    aluminum radiator

and other misc items, all which will perfectly fit My new ride.

I tried selling/trading it on here, as well as the bpg board, I didn't get one single reply. if someone wanted it,they should have contacted me.

I was going to keep the shell, and offer it for sale. but with it sitting in my driveway completely stripped, the local code enforcement officials were immediately on my a$$, they gave me 48 hours to get rid of it,or face a fine. I had no choice but to comply.

honestly, I don't really have to explain why I did it, it was registered to Me, and I have the right to do what I wanted with it.

the car ultimately did not make Me happy like I thought. I had fun with it for about 6 months, and after that I barely drove it.

if someone wants the shell, I have the # of the yard that has it.

the decision was Mine,so,please live with it I will not discuss it any further

David, It was offered for sale but that was complete. It is very hard to sale a 10grand pus regal. I know this from experience.

Jeff, I know for a fact someone made an offer on the car, did you ever get back to them. I know this because they asked me if I would be willing to pick it up for them til they could get it.

Please post the phone # of the salvage yard, I would be happy to call them to save this car.

YOU are right you can do whatever you want with it, :Dou:

You HAD one badass buick, hope your olds makes you happy.

    Whatever...

You had a BUNCH of help with that. The main point, was the car you had that motor in would have KILLED you, the way YOU had it set up. and your life is yours too. YOU can do with it, what you want too. YOU were set up with a clean SAFE build. All you had to do was get a roll bar put in and you were set. That thing needed a five point harness and you know it. The shoulder belt stuff is a non issue. That was an eleven second car that never made the strip. That makes me sick to my stomach.

Nobody will deal with you because you run people on wild goose chases. people driving a state wide with a rear end that you can't buy. remember what you did to john c on the hub cabs? huh?...

The wiring is is a non issue as well. if you would have been straight with the above people(and others), I would have come TO YOU and fixed the wiring. It is NOT that hard.

I hope to he!! NO ONE comes to your aid anytime ever again. what a d@mn waste of time and energy. This should be moved to buyer seller feedback. This way no one wastes their time with you again.

Mods... please do not delete this thread or this post. This will eliminate further troubles with other good v8 members (If anything move it to feed back)

only "offer" I got on the car, was a possible trade, that never materiaized. I never got any cash offers on it.

the number of the yard is: 785-263-2672

oh I will have fun, with my new bad ass Buick powered 4 door sleeper, as much fun as I did with the other 4 door BBB sleepers I have had in the past :TU:

I am happy, that I will be building something I can actually enjoy driving

I had one other BBB regal, in '99, and I didn't enjoy it either, it got traded for
    something else too.

Jeff sounds like you got a few people here that are kinda upset with you yup you can do what you want with the car is right but an olds?? I too have sold cars with electrical gremlins when i was younger (and dumber i might add) before i heard about companies such as painless and M&H elecrical fab. etc... some people have the patience to wire cars annnnd some don't most places will tailor the harnees to your needs but hey it is (was) your car!!

    EXCUSE ME????

a roll bar???? what the f@cking hell would I want a roll bar???
I never wanted to race it, I wanted a high performance street car.
the car I had my engine in, as I look back, we could have done all the same mods to it,(same as the ones that were done on the regal) and it would have been bad ass as well.

I kept EVERYTHING that was put on it, and will transfer everything to the new
project.NOTHING was wasted. I learned a lot on how to build a car, and will use what I learned as I build this one.

a 5 point harness? are they street legal?? I had no intentions of racing EVER!!
functioning seat belts are not only a safety requirement, but kansas

    law

I put in a hell of a lot of time in it, not to mention all the wear and tear on the car I drove down there and back.

AND IT SHOULD BE DELETED, AS HARASSMENT SUCH AS THIS IS NOT ACCORDING TO BOARD RULES:

"Anything goes here, as long as it "jives" with the tone of this board, which is family oriented, and is Buick related".

the bitching about this is NOT family related!

NOW LEAVE ME THE HELL ALONE!!!!!!

it's ready for putting a 9" rear into

some good parts left on it. (doors, trunk lid, front springs)

I left the rear control arms on it, as I wouldn't need them
