My dad took me to see the Seven-Ups when it came out. I hadn't yet seen Bullitt so I had never seen a car chase that cool before. Of course, they dubbed in an awful lot of up-shifts and down-shifts that sound like a 12 speed transmission to me. Anyway, that was the first movie I remember seeing him in and I've been a fan of his ever since. RIP.
Re: "JAWS" Roy Scheider passes at 75 This is sad. I liked his characters, especially the old 70's NYC movies. Remember he was also in the French Connection, Marathon Man and showed some incredible acting range with "All that Jazz" ("It's showtime!").
