front end all new parts(came that way)WHY didnt the guy paint them?
and WHY didnt he tighten the frame pads?i can wiggle one about 1/8th inch!
WHY did i spend over an hour trying to pull a rounded off motor to trans bolt?
looks like im gonna spend a day or two detailing this,soaking in etch as we speak :TU: i cant leave it this way :spank:

 

fred,what color paint we got layin around?bring me a brush too!

but they painted the master & booster o so nice p guess what comes out tomorrow :grin:going to manual brakes. also a board member who got tired of me whinning for a manual steering box is selling me one :TU:

 

well,spent most of my free time sanding the engine bay/rusted suspension parts.as allways i got the "while i'm at it"syndrome.cowl area also was lacking p its now this color,epoxy aviation primer.also,the rubber dust boot on my new/used brake rod(yes,they ARE different between power/manual)was trashed.i looked at it & went to my parts bin & guess what! a solenoid plunger boot for detroit diesel starter fits perfectly :TU: hmm,9:30,must be dinner time p more cowl/bay detailing tomorrow :TU:

jammin without tunes!

well i finally got to see what color bitersweet mist my paint guy mixed for me.it allmost looks bronze,yet different.I LIKE IT! :laugh: :bglasses: sumthin funky happened on the top driver side,not sure what?i didnt spill anything & wiped it down w/wax remover after the primer dried.only place it did it.any ideas?i'm gonna leave it alone,the fender will cover it,but i sure dont want it to happen elsewere

 

i had some paint left in the gun so i painted the bumper brackets since they were in primer p i think i am loosing my mind :spank:

 

finished the core support,too bad some MORONfiberglassed the typical battery rusted area :af:

 

must be 1 of 1 built in england!!!

been waiting on converter from board member.kinda idle,finished painting steering column & installed flexible trans lines.havent heard much about them,but seems like a great idea :beer out of the way & easy to install :TU:

lifes been busy,not mine other family members requiring my time & attention.but ive been slowly pluggin along when able :TU: finally got it in the cradle :shock: now i need a couple(eleventeen!)hours & a helper(good luck )& i can wrestle with some headers p oops,looks like i gave my under-hood color combo away ou:

tossed the clip back on the 65,r/f fender was being ignored at the body shop that owed me a favor,so i went down & did some :rant: :rant: got it 2 days later.just couldnt go all summer without driving it p & yes i drove it with no hood,going to re-primer fender,their primer-job sucks :spank: rear sway bar & new bushings make a hell of a difference :eek2: no wallowing corners at :3gears: speed anymore :bglasses:

epoxy primer anyway :laugh: im at the stage of everythings pretty much ready to whirlwind together,but my sails dont whirl up too often. ive realized i cant set goals,just go with the flow.

 

did ya ever paint 1/3 of a car at a time?

i did :laugh: i just couldnt drive it with a green l/f,gray r/f & white/gray hood i have been using for a paint table for the last 8 years :eek2: so i asked my paint guy to mix me a pint of cortez gold.i really like it! :TU: ok,i confess...i did it outside at dusk :shock: only 3 stuck bugs & i minor run was found the next morning p

yeah i know,too far forward,huh? not like i had anything to base it on,& when i first put em on years ago,i was going to make them functional,hooked up to my star wars cleaner :error: ou: doors-trunklid & rear panel are next(no hurry) :bglasses: now,someone find me quarterpanels before i go sawzall a pair in the middle of the night off someones car!!! p boy,wouldnt THAT piss ya off!! :blast:

just had to do the master since im powdercoating it :shock: VERY glad i took it apart,what a mess of ....i dont know what!!
