    Hey everybody,
Perhaps a silly question but I did not want to break anything. I am going to putting my '72 Riviera on to axle stands and wanted to know the best procedure. Where should I place the jack and where should I place the axle stands? Any preferred placement that will avoid damage or pinching any cables/hoses?

Jack under the rear end differential and stands either under the axle tubes or the frame depending on what your working on,...for the front jack under engine cradle stands under control arms or frame depending on what your doing.

Just make sure you sweep the floor a jack that cant roll will cause issues like the car being pulled off the jack pad if it's in gear for example

u cannot not jack on the axle tubes if u have a rear stabilizer bar. U have on jack on the rear end pot, then jack stands under the frame.

With the sway bar cars I put the stands under lca bushings the cradle will go in the arm in a little and the bushing sits in the cradle, .if you want the suspension loaded that is
