OHHHMaaaaan! reading these posts is making me soo envious. Im NOT attending the GSNats this year as I have a funeral that week in Oklahoma. Check this out. Called my son to tell him to bring me up to the auto place. We come around the corner and here’s my car parked with the alignment finished. They kept it very secure in my opinion. When I dropped it off there this morning the boss came out and said, find a place for this car inside the shop. I don’t want any dumb azz customers banging into it! I thought they treated me like I was a king! The steering is much better. The mechanic was gaga over the condition of the car, especially the frame. He actually took some shims out to give it negative castor. While the car was at the shop I worked on the boat all day long. Took the entire Jackplate a part, used to cut off saw with the mean wire brush on it to clean all the salt water corrosion off of it. Tomorrow I will put it all back together 3 inches higher on the transom. It will definitely be greased like it should’ve been. That’s all for tonight…
Oh Wheelz! I thought with all the stuff you were selling, and you said you could bring it up to BG, that you would be there. Just like Rich, I’m bummed out also. Was definitely looking forward to seeing you again!
John... my buddys Bob and Fernando will be bring'n stuff to BG for me. Stuff thats already been paid for, just need it delivered!!! I was quite bummed to learn this funeral was the same week. . . kill'n me. Oh well. I'll go TWICE next year to make up or it.
Sorry Rich, I forgot to answer your question. This color. The guy at the paint store, had me go out and take a picture of my body tag on top of the firewall and then he ordered it. Unfortunately it’s actually the color of my vinyl top. My interior is a little bit darker, but it looks good enough.
Good grief!!! I wrote a bunch! When I tried to post it I got the error warning. It told me to refresh the page. I did that and EVERYTHING went away. Anyhow... I've been busy working on the boat. More today. I'll post some pictures tomorrow.
Good morning! 4 days till it's blast off time! I finished getting my boat ready for the boat shop. Not really, but it will do. I put an electric bus bar in it. Hooked up a switch panel. Got the new navigation lights working. Got the new bilge pump working. I finally got all the needed cleats for the front and back of the boat. So that enabled me to finally open up a calk tube of 5200 adhesive / sealant. You only get to use it once before it dries up and becomes useless. I got the jack plate, 3 cleats, and the depth gauge mount all calked in. I also used it to glue the bottom of the bilge pump to the floor of the boat. Thursday afternoon I dropped the boat off at the dealer. They said by the time I get back from the Nationals I'd have a brand new 60 Hp. Suzuki engine mounted on the boat and ready to go. I can't wait!!! I got home from the boat dealer and spent the rest of the day cleaning up the GIGANTC mess I had made from working on the boat. There was sooo much crap on top of my car, and behind my car, that I could barely see my car. Friday I started working on the car. Actually Thursday evening. I soaped the engine and engine compartment down with Bang. Cheap spray on soap that works great. Hosed it off and it was all clean. I had a leaking passenger side valve cover gasket. Friday I spent the day, a VERY SWEATY DAY, installing the front kick panel speakers, wiring in the rear speakers, and running wire from the battery to the amplifier. The heat index was into the 100's and the air was saturated. Good old Florida! Today I need to finish wiring up the sound system, install the Bluetooth, and probably more. Got to change the valve cover gasket too. Time for breakfast, later...
Started loading the trailer yesterday. Bought food for the week today. Just about ready to rock n roll
The highlight of the day... I now have a very loud car!!! The new sound system is awesome! The drive up to BG will be GREAT!
