you have to read this auction...

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/w-30-442-olds-hurst-ram-air-convertable-455-1of-2-rare_W0QQitemZ300198115972QQihZ020QQcategoryZ6405QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Only one picture from 50 ft.
He talks about how he doesn't need the money, but wouldn't list it on a regular day and waits for eBay to have a $1 listing fee sale
So poorly written, no grammar or punctuation and blames it on his computer.

He says if you put $25k into it you can sell it for $5 million...
Ive never seen any GM metal bring millions like this... even 1 of 1 cars don't bring that kind of coin.

And to top it off... all proceeds will be 'donated' to his business... for of all things... to make vitamins.

    Am I being too harsh?

he has a great imagination. He should look into a job as a sitcom writers assistant. :Comp: That said, I had someone email me a couple weeks ago with an offer to send me 7.8 million english pounds for a measly $5,500.00 US. So right after I get the check in the mail for the 7.8 million I'll buy the olds. Easy come, easy go! :TU:

How about this. he can give me the car. I will do a $25,000 resto, take it to B-J. I get the first 2.5 million and he can have the rest. What a moron!:blast:

You think that's rare? I've got the Super Wildcat that Buick execs donated to George Washington to drive to battle in Trenton after crossing the Delaware River!!! This car has a really good heater. It also has "GW" initials in many places ('cept they put the "W" upside down for some reason)!

I'm gonna list it on Presidents Day - that makes sense doesn't it? I may be able to ask more :dollar: than this guy's asking for his rare 442 though, since the punctuation on my PC wasn't broken by my airline :Dou: and my listing will look better than his.

Oh, and there's a corner of discolored paper sticking out from between the seat cushions. I think it's the only copy of the Declaration of Independence that the Buick execs signed. :eek2:

BTW - my camera is broken :ball: so I can't provide any pictures until after the auction closes

I need y'all's help though as I'm not really sure what this deal is worth. $3 million? 4 million? Any suggestions?

BTW - I've kept this valuable vehicle garaged since I bought it from George, but I see that this guy keeps his ultra valuable 442 in an outside lot. Am I doing something wrong? :Dou:

I di not think 455s were put in those cars until '70? Or maybe that is why he's saying it is so rare?

I think he's got rocks in his head.

    OMG... I love this line..

I have 126 of these Trans Am's and Firebirds from 1968 to Present. I know a special car when I see it, and a good project when I see, and this Skybird is definatly one of them.

I have bought better birds than this crap he has listed for a 10th of the price.. I am really thinking about ordering some of his viatmins...they must be really good!
