I sold 3 vehicles on ebay to clear space. I am in central Iowa. The buyers were UTAH, PENNSYLVANIA AND BUFFALO, NY. Sale prices were $1000, $2076 and $900.

Buyer feedback scores all pretty good. One guys had 0 (zero) but had some positive feedback? :Do No:

All 3 stiffed me. Utah guy, I felt the best way out was to agree to cancel the transaction so I could get the car back on ebay and a fellow Buick guy ended up buying it off-ebay.

The other 2, I went into leave negative feedback since I am not getting paid and there is no communication. My choices? O Leave positive feedback O Leave feedback later. WTH?

Are we no longer able to leave justified negative feedback?

To be honest, I had a justified negative feedback over a year ago and my overall score was around 99% with the one negative. I don't use ebay much so I went into to start selling these cars and saw my score had been "scrubbed" and was now 100%. I don't agree with that but it does make a seller more confident.

So, from now on I am going to assume that ebay is a marketplace more then anything. If I put something on there and the buyer get remorse, my only resolution is to cancel the bid, get a fees refund, and try again until payment is received. Sound right?

I'm not big into leaving negative feedback and I really didn't care where the prices ended up (2 of the auctions received only the minimum bid, and I was OK with that) the point was to free up garage and lot space to get new toys. Now, I have to relist, let it run a week, then give them 2-4 weeks to pick up. Groan.

Meanwhile, I browse ebay with no intentions of bidding-often - and notice the phrase "This is a serious auction, you are entering into a contract, if you fail to make payment I will leave negative feedback." is that just nonsense or how do they do it?

Sellers cannot leave neg feedback. However, you can open an eBay case and/or leave 'positive' feedback with 'not-so-positive' comments.

Buyers can leave negative feedback, seller can't! Ebay rewrote the rules several years ago to stack the deck in favor of buyers.

Until Ebay has some viable competition don't expect any change for the better.

I hate ebay and how they get a bigger and bigger piece of every deal. Since they bought Paypal, they get some there too.
With regard to feedback, the ones that get me say right up front: "I dont leave feedback until you do". Talk about extortion! Even if they do something screwy and deserve neg. feedback, you can get it too for just being honest about the transaction. That whole thing blows chunks.
