Few years ago I was into RC planes. I did not ever master the "landing part".
My legs just had a habit of turning to jelly when the plane was about 5' above the ground, flying toward yourself for a landing.
More than once brought my new plane home in a thousand pieces. Put it back together for next week. Ended up very tired of all the rebuilding for a 1/2 hour of flying. Gets very expensive too. My last plane has been in the tree-tops now for about 4 years. Brand new everything, lost it over dense woods, never could find it.
These guys are very, very good with the controls. Hull shape provides the lift & the tail provides elevator control. Turning may be with the elevator verticals, couldn't see enough.
You think old Buicks can get expensive? You've not seen anything.
