Ironing/short consoles questions

How do they install? Do they utilize brackets? If they do, are they available aftermarket?

They originally used one or two brackets, but I have installed a couple of them and just used large self tapping screws which held the consoles nice and tight with no issues.

 

I removed one from an original car and they used sheet metal screws.
