Greetings from Alaska! Im no stranger to A-bodies but just recently got my first A-body Buick. I purchased a one-family owned 72 skylark custom. It's been pampered most of its life and has lots of documentation to include the original purchase receipt. It's been sitting for awhile so I'm methodically going through it to get it back to its glory days! The forums have been a great help so far and I hope to add a few posts as I get deeper into the car.
Welcome aboard great looking Skylark you’ll find any information you need here on the board, plus parts an help.
Welcome - Very nice car! Great colors. As you may know, that was a unique top color for '72. '70-71 was much darker green.
I was unaware! Still trying to learn more about the car. I found one build sheet but it's mostly illegible. Hoping to find another, fingers crossed
TDY, back in the 80s. Loved those 19 hour days of funshine in the summer. Only Keflavik, (in the 70s) with 21 hour days, could mess you up if you took a nap, wake and think you were in another day. Foil on windows and no one is making meth...
Not much has changed up here from the sounds of it. Amazing how much work you can get done when the sun doesn't go down
Welcome to V8Buick jrstallion51. You have a great '72 Buick. I see that your car was assembled at the Fremont California plant. It's not unusual for Fremont cars to have multiple build sheets in them. Here is a very old thread Found 3 Build sheets in our '72 Stage 1 !!! | V8buick.com that shows the three locations where we found three build sheets inside our '72 Buick that was built at Fremont in March 1972. There's a high probability that there is a fourth build sheet on top of the gas tank, but we have never checked. Good luck with your search. Under the package tray: In the driver-side bucket seat frame. We had to remove the seat track to get the second photo. In the back seat between the cover and the foam. We had to cut several of the hog rings to get the sheet out.
