Check out SEM products, have used them many times. Some jobbers have mixing systems so custom and matching can be done.

Or, contact your local Fibrenew Technician (www.fibrenew.com/locations). Their process rocks ( they have to apply it though) and it lasts!

Hi, I purchased interior paint for Eastwood and did my seats, door panels, head liner and rear side panels and so far it has worked out very good. I was a little leary at first but glad I did it. They have this kit you can get which comes with a cleaned and then a primer and get your paint. I did mine in super white and if I say so myself it looks great. Do some more research if you need but it worked for me. I wanted to keep the original design of my door panels that's one of the reasons for going that route. And my seats were still in good shape. I have a 1969 Black Electra 225 2 dr hard top. And again it looks great with me painting the interior.

    Good Luck.

Ive used the "dye" from canadian tire.

Called Vynil paint or something like that.

I had decent results for something i didnt prep, and barely cleaned.

Its all in the prep work, and it all depends on how flakey the current paint is.

If i were to do it again, i would clean the surface a bit better, apply more coats, in thinner applications, and put a Vynil clear coat over top.

The only issue is, your colour choice is limited.

What are your going to paint/Dye? That makes a difference. GM service bulletins say to use interior laqcuer to paint metal and plastic parts.

Where would you get the interior lacquer? I want to do the black plastic sections of my dash. It's getting that "silver" poking thru like you see on many cars. What is that anyway, the base color ? Thanks. Ed

    GStage1 Always looking for parts!

To paint the metal dash structure...use semi-gloss black paint....you can use spray paint and it will work great.

Try googling Tower paints. They have mixed interior laqcuer for me sevearl times with good results. Just remember there are two glosses used. Semi- gloss and flat. The flat was used in the area near the front and rear windshileds. This is very important to cut down on glare in the area. I a amazed how nay cars I have seen with glossy upper dashes. I find it distracting. On the greasy polypropelyne plastic parts like kick panels and bucket seat backs you need to clean the parts like crazy with something like simple green or TSP first then use a plastic primer or adhesion promotor. The ABS plastic parts like consoles and steering column plastic fillers do not need the primer but do need to be cleaned. This is true for the laquers because they are etch into the ABS plastic. This is what GM recommended to use as I have a serrvice bulletin from GM explaining the process.
