Just pulled out the 35 yr old interior in the ragtop. I have two questions. What is everyones favorite color with an all black car? Pictures would be great. I have everything to convert to buckets and console, but the bench with armrest is very comfortable when driving any distance. This is a GS350 cruiser that the wife and kids ride in quite often.My monster GS470 has buckets, but usually just short drives. The family wont even ride in the beast, its too loud and obnoxious for them:laugh: Looks wise, I say buckets console but I think the bench has more comfort. What do you guys think ? Anybody have a red interior in 70-72 convertible ? Thanks

Chris, Nice convertible.:TU: A black interrior would look a lot meaner but would be very hot baking in the sun. You might want to go with a white or pearl which would be classier and a lot cooler. It's your choice. Mine is the dark burnish saddle brown and gets kind of hot sitting in the sun but I can deal with it. I had a 70 GS455 coupe years back with a bench seat. I liked it. It was very comfortable with that leaner. If this car is the family cruiser than I would keep the bench. BTW...the background in the picture looks like that new secret Buick GS factory p Lon
My wife and are arguing right now over the colors of my electra. She thinks the convertible top should be the same color as the interior, but I like a contrasting color.
I don't know if Buick ever made a black with red interior convertible but it would be stunning. Imagine that with the red highlights on the rocker panels and a new set of radial redlines. I love black cars with red interiors, it's hot & cool at the same time.
Went to a custom interior shop today. A friend is thinking of leather interior for his 69 camaro ss ragtop. I would love real leather but with the factory pleating. I really like white and pearl white. Does anyone have a red interior in a 70 to 72 GS? Would the 69 material work for my car? I was thinking red pinstripe or mabye GSX stripes and redline tires:beer

Mine has the white top and white interior.Really nice in the summer but the white top is hard to keep clean.I'm really thinking about going with the black top and staying with the white interior.
Just about any color would go with black. I'd do a black interior, or maybe red. Blue would be nice too.

It looks like your dash is already red, so unless you plan on changing that you might consider matching that somehow. I'd vote for black with red piping or some combination of red/black. If you are going to change the dash, black with tan top and interior is always classy looking.
Yes, the 69 seat covers will fit on 70-72 seats. However, I'm not sure if 69 door panels and rear side panels will fit 70-72 doors/body.
