http://milwaukee.craigslist.org/cto/4097221179.html 1962 Buick Electra 225 4 door HT with duel quads. It runs great but the breaks are not working. I think it has a bad wheel cylinder that is letting air in to the lines. The body has 116000 on it and has never been redone so there are blemishes in the paint and some minor dents, there is not really any rust. The engine I redid 13 years or so years ago. It has 550hp with duel carbs, hardened seats and valves, bigger cam, rockers, electronic coil, block has been rebored with new pistons and rings. The car has every option for 1962 except rear window defrost. The car is in odd duck by having duel carbs. The car as far as I can tell has had duel quads on it for most if not all of its life. I am the 3rd owner and have talked to the woman that had it before me. She used it as a daly driver in the late 70s in to the 80s. She never did anything but maintain the car and that is how she bought the car. Another strange thing about this car is it has an industrial rear end with 1 inch axels instead of the normal 7/8 ones. Comes with hundreds of spare parts. I a lot of parts are from another car that I scraped. But there are also many NOS parts. The car is in Wisconsin and will need to be towed. Email be for more photos or with questions. $7000 OBO
Nice looking car for a 4 door IMO, looks like it is in really nice shape too. Throw a nice coat of paint and all new brakes and be done.
Cool car for sure. Definitely not 550hp though. And the axles are likely the 33 spline stockers. They are massive!
