Spotted this looking for buried treasure on ebay. Kind of an interesting piece. I've seen Chevy caps like this, but.... https://www.ebay.com/itm/NOS-1968-1...844904?hash=item2865a29228:g:5QcAAOSwdklbgc5k
As far as hubcaps go, I like them too. I didn't know Buick used that style, seen quite a few Chevys with them.
I have 2 sets of these . 74 up option . For 15 inch steel wheels . They look like the Buick Road Wheels from 5 foot away .
A few years back someone sold a NOS set of these on here, but I missed them. I always thought they would be great for a trailer with 15" wheels hauling your Buick around. I would still like to find a nice set. Of course I don't need them, just want them.
As Bill said, RARE RARE RARE. Might have been my set you saw Mike. I got an NOS set plus 1 when I bought out a dealerships NOS inventory from the 40's through the early 70's. The set that gsx455-4ever posted are actually more common than one might think, a ton of LeSabre's had them and people just thought they were the real thing. I have seen them on a fair number of Electra's as well
Well you can want no more . I have had these sets for sale on a few sites including this one . Send me a PM .
I've got a set of 14"s and 15"s. The 15"s are currently on my '70 Estate Wagon. Not sure what I'm going to do with the 14"s. They were a dealer accessory, not sure of the years available but they are listed in the 1970 accessories catalog.
These were called SIMULATED MAGNESIUM WHEEL COVERS. These were available as dealer added options and are in the accessory Buick brochures from the day. I think available on A-bodies and full size. The center medallion could be changed. Chevy's had these going back to at least the mid-60's. I think the '65 Chevelle SS Z-16 had this style wheel cover as standard. They're so rare that you hardly see a full set together when you do see them. A lot of 1st gen Camaros had these.
I think they look great on your car. I have a original set of 4- 14" early style from 1965 0r 1966. I never saw these on any Buick car before, I've had many Chevys with them. I'm curious if you added the Buick center cap or are they original Buick style
Those are Chevy hubcaps. I took them apart and cleaned/polished them. I reassembled them and put some Buick stick on emblems which I have had for several years. I bought the stickers with the trishield emblems at a large automotive swap meet in Springfield OH several years ago. I searched on ebay and these came up https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fr...ickers&_sacat=0&rt=nc&Brand=Buick&_dcat=33743 But I didn't check the size to see if they were the same as the ones I had, just wanted to show the stickers.
These wheel covers were intended to imitate the look of the Hurst magnesium wheel in this V8Buick thread and pic: http://www.v8buick.com/index.php?threads/69-motion-resto.334097/page-33
Full set on ebay, not mine https://www.ebay.com/itm/NOS-1968-1...616593?hash=item52113e5791:g:zeQAAOSwetNbJtal
