I was wondering and pondering before I tear my beloved 69 electra apart again ( Its like making grandpa go through another open heart operation) If maybe I intalled the intake manifold wrong, I cant belive that a head gasket would go bad right after a timing cover replacement, I kind of think I know my Goof but because Im a man im not going to step up and admit that I used Ultra Copper to seal the intake manifold.....Hey you have to give me a break this is my first Buick. Ive always owned Mopars.......DO ya think thats the problem ! Thanks for everyone being so cool and helping this old Paramedic with his Car. Hey if I can jumpstart an abnormal heart beat im sure I can fiqure out this great old Buick ! :Dou:

Need some more info - did you just use permatex only, or is there an intake gasket in there with permatex on it?

    What are the symptoms?

Thans for the reply, Well the thing I found out today is the front 2 cylinders are the only ones loading up with oil all the rest are fine and the weird part is the holes that are loading up are the 2 on both sides of the engine in the front, Id say thats one for the strange book. I cant fiqure out why only these 2 holes are the only ones loading up. Other than that the car runs great, Just smokes off the line is all

I wouldn't think oil would get into the cylinders through the intake manifold, unless you've got a pretty good vacuum leak on the bottom, and it's sucking oil or vapor from the crankcase. How's the vacuum at idle?

Otherwise, I'd say you've got oil coming in from either the valve guides or rings. Can you do a compression test?
