How hard is it to install tachometer and an oil gague into my 1984 buick electra? Besides the install I would need a place to mount it.

It really depends on where you want to mount the gauges - indash or underdash...not really hard, but a good-looking install takes time and thought.

The tach will require running some wires, the oil pressure will need some wiring also, and a pressure tube from the engine if you use a mechanical-type gauge, or a pressure sending unit and a wire if you use an electrical-type gauge.

Get a monster tach and mount it right on the dash directly in front of the wheel:Brow: That way it can be seen all the time, instead of watching the road:Brow: Who needs to see the road anyway:Do No:

I'm building a plate to go from the console to the bottom of the dash. I'll be mounting a temp gauge, oil pressure gauge and a tach in it. It will take some time to do, but if I can get it right it will look very nice.
