I have a buick 72 skylark, that came factory with out a clock, recently purchased a clock for the dash have the wires there and lights but can't seem to get them to work, is there somethig besides the fuse that controles the clock power.

Use a volt meter to check +12V on the orange wire.....lights, gray and black, controlled by headlight controller.

If the clock doesn't work....should be bench tested before installation....may need a quartz conversion.

Make sure your headlight switch bezel-nut is not stripped and you have the ground disc on the back side.

You better see if you can find the loose wire it attaches to. You need an assembly manual that shows all the wiring.

That black wire goes to the ground ring for the headlight switch.
