    Jim,

One of the 1st. things I would check would be the fuel pressure regulator. Easy enough to check by pulling off the vacuum hose to see IF there's any fuel in the line.
Has all the same problems you mentioned.
    Just a thought.

Yup, fuel pressure regulator. Check that first.

It might have a plugged cat. Mine rotted out, but never plugged.

I did run the fuel pressure regulator tests, and even swapped it out with a known good one.. Pressure inspection, flow and the regulator was my quick run down for possible fuel issues.

No dice.. changed it a little, but did not fix the issue.

I would check the CTS. Read the data, I have had the same symptoms due to a -45° temp which results in a pig rich mixture.

You are absolutely right John, however we aren't selling just because it's appreciated, so much we just want a change of scenery, and I don't believe there isn't going to be another crash. Just before the last crash I could have sold the house we had built in Nevada in 2001 for 425K. Should have we were only in it property and all about 140K. After the crash it wasn't worth much more than we had in it. The upside is the house value came back and we did quite well when we sold. We are in our 3rd house at this time, so far so good. It's nice when they are paid for!

Typically a leaky regulator on one of those would cause a long crank both hot and cold, very rich at idle and even a MIL or flashing MIL indicating a misfire. Obviously a heavy acceleration would result in little noticeable symptoms, unless a spark plug was fuel fouled.

A plugged cat doesn’t usually cause idling concerns unless the substrate is broken up and shifted. The telltale rattle should have been a symptom for a while, possibly along with a P0420.

A closer look at scan data should give some clues. Misfire history and current fuel trim data would be a good place to start.

It looks good, but a little too well done.

Went out to eat last night and the bill included 3% surcharge for credit card use. Never seen that in a restaurant before. And....the 15-20-25 tip recommendations are based on TAXED total. I was going to tip 20% but after seeing that 3% I went with 15.

Yup, your going to see that CC surcharge in all the big chain restaurants, and even the little mom and pop joints around here are starting to use it.

As margins tighten, it gets harder to absorb those costs.

Been seeing articles talking about restaurants adding a service charge for benefits for the employees.

Recent ruling was that mandatory "gratuities" added to checks do not qualify as "tips" because tips are by definition voluntary. This case involved a very high-end restaurant, so workers were still doing well but management was keeping 100% of the mandatory "gratuity". Only actual additional tips were pooled for the staff. Expect all restaurants to do the same and screw the waiters / servers as much as possible.

The crazy thing is they want to do another round of stimulus / free money for everyone checks..I don't have a clue why..

Nice to see that gas prices, although way too high, have at least stabilized.

And with that, we are going to wrap this one up... before it veers off into restricted territory.

    Thanks for everyone's input.
