I wrote down 12 1970-72 GS 455s for sale during the entire event. One went on Tuesday and was bought at $30k for the hammer price. (I think they add the buyer's premium). 3 go on Thursday with Friday being the big day with 6 going across. Personally, I'm hoping to win the Powerball jackpot tonight. If I don't win, I'm hoping the triple black '72 Stage 1 goes for a number to my liking. I'm also looking at some of the '68-'71 GTOs. I'll probably end up with another Firebird.
If I had to pick only one it would have to be the White '70 Stage 1 4sp. 'vert. This one..........https://www.mecum.com/lots/SC0518-327278/1970-buick-gs-stage-1-convertible/
Ha that's what I did I have it dvr so that's what I'm doing along with a beer..... It's so peaceful sometimes just to sit relax and watch But the bad thing is sometimes I wanna go outside and turn a wrench on something
Thanks chi town I'm also digging the funky 70 Riv gold outside and green interior come on that's awesome and its a GS it says
That green '70 is my favorite out of the cars posted. Just something about green with the red rockers that looks perfect.
I'm impartial to that one too. This is my old car (350 4-sp. "stripper" w/green split bench) - Amazing how the red/orange in the emblems/rockers looks so good with the green. Super fun car - Wish I'd never sold it.
Yup....It don't get any better for me either.....2nd choice is the Proto-type car....3rd the Green Stage 1 Any guesses on that White Vert sell price???.....I say $120k bad day....$180k great day! ANd I say again, that 73 went way too high several months ago, I can't wait to see if it come back to reality of around $30k, or if that $50k was the real reality!!!...lol
Owners trying to cleanup the Sherwood Green car when I went to go look at. Looks like someone was trying to correct something on the front of the passenger fender...
Would like to know your opinion of the Sherwood Green car once you get a chance to look it over. I'm not a buyer, just curious.
I want a green 70 GS now that's what my pops had back in the day out in Massachusetts in the early 70s stage 1 car also.
Here's my current one - '70 Stage 1 4-sp. Sherwood w/green vinly top & white interior (not for sale, but...). Also a pic of a car (I assume a board member's) of one w/fresh paint & without a faded top. I was leery of the green top until I saw this car, but love it esp. with the upper peak molding, which I'm also not usually a big fan of.
