Have any of you tried this kit from OPG? I'm looking for a good, very complete kit for my '71 Skylark convert, that will work with 15" wheels.

    http://www.opgi.com/product.asp?Pro...code=29323&yearrange=&chapterid=324&topvalue=

It's the 12" disc conversion kit, includes spindles, rotors and calipers. Doesn't specifically state whether or not lines are included. For those have bought this kit...
    1. What other parts/components did you need to complete the conversion?
    2. Any modifications needed to components on the car?
    a
Of course, I'm open to alternative suggestions as well...but want to deal with all new parts; I really, really don't want to scrounge parts via salvage yards.

    Thanks,

    Jay

After following many, many threads on this site and visiting several recommended websites, I am now leaning towards the Wilwood kit. Specifically, part # 140-2285. Couple questions for all you that have "been there, done that":

    - Can I use my original spindles (car has power drums now)? I understand that the top bolt hole would have to be drilled/tapped to 5/8". (or is there a 1/2 X 18 bolt available for this installation, available separately?)

    - Wilwood site says I need to order new flexible lines...any idea on size/lengths?

    - I've seen some posts saying a new proportioning valve is needed...others saying it's not needed???

    - I believe I can use my original booster & master cylinder. True? My power booster is pretty darned ugly, so I wouldn't be opposed to replacing it...any recommendations on brand and part #'s?

    - Appears to include 10.75" rotors...should be okay with Cragar S/S 15". Anyone disagree?

    Thanks!!

    Jay
