Last night I was on my way home and I decide to swing by Big Bob's hamburger place to see if there are any nice cars left. This is around 00:30, and I'm expecting there to be an empty parking lot. Well there are about ten old cars and a bunch of new ones who are only there to eat. I have a quick look around and then start to talk to some of the owners who are standing around outside. After a while we all decide to eat something and bla bla bla this one guy knows where there is a 72 2 door centurion in a yard with the same color interior as mine. I get the address to the place and we're all finished at about 3am. I wake up at 7, only four hours of sleep and I feel I'm all set to go out and have a look at his thing, he had praised it to be in really good condition and he had taken the rallye wheels last Monday, there is supposedly one left in the trunk too. I get my stuff together, drive out there get a picture of this guy on the freeway, we both waved :TU: . Anyway he's told me it's in one of the first two rows that have older cars in it, I can't see it, so I ask two older guys who are working on an Impala in the middle of that section if they know anything about it. Oh yeah, I'm here almost every day, that car was taken out this morning... Noooooooo :af: .. I ask the forklift driver if he's seen it and I get a lift to the area where everything is crushed, there's nothing left... I'm there at 10:30 am and it's too late, they would have pulled it back out if I would hae wanted a piece on it.. SIGH it just wasn't meant to be.. Oh well what can you do.. it's flat.. ??? I stumbled on this 72 electra that I took the bumper off just to heal myself mentally, and I see it's got an HEI sitting in it + the old coil right next to it??? I think well at least there's something of value here so I take it to the register.. Eh is that a modular distributor? What? That will be 45$ I'm like how much, it can't be.. That's how much it was at the place where they take it out for you and that one looked brand new. There's nothing wrong with this one, just that they combine coil, cap, dist. added into one price.. sigh I just leave it.. it was alreay set up for a 455 too.. aaarghhh. anyone who knows how much one of these are worth? Well the rubber on the front bumper looks good, and it's 10$ The whole bumper is 35$ I decide to take the whole thing.. Now it's on the floor in the garage.. WHY DID THEY HAVE TO CRUCH THE CAR THAT PROBABLY HAD MY:

    emblem
    rear bumper
    doors
    interior pieces
    grill pieces
    and probably something more.

    Man....that STINKS!!!

Shoot me a list of all the interior bit's you're looking for, there's a 72 Electra at a yard near here I'm going to go visit tomorrow. (They don't flatten anything older than '76, so I'm pretty sure it'll still be there...)
