My parents neighbor is making one of these out of a 94 impala, complete with "thumper stereo" system.o No: New trend I guess. He also has a couple of old cadillacs and such that I am guessing are next in line.
Come on now. You go to the GSCA Nats or BPG Nats and all you see is the same old Buicks. He threw alot of cash at that Skylark and this is what came out. Give the boy some props on how he waisted his money. :bla:
If it has the factory optioned 2 foot spoiler, Maxwell House coffee can exhaust tip, and Virgin Mary airbrush on it.... I'd say it's worth every penny. Did anyone run the vin and find out???:bla:
You guys are harping on this guy pretty hard because of his taste in customizing. But what I learned from an "old timer" in the sport is that everyone has their own style and their cars represent their love for cars. Who are you guys to pass judgement on this guy? I mean I can understand if you don't like the car, but to call him names and insult him? I personally don't like the car either, but thats his car, his style, and I bet he gets tons of thumbs up. There are lots of different styles of doing up a car, don't get personal just because it doesn't jive with yours.
true! and after seeing that p.o.s. sell for $6500 smackers, i went out and put the 22" rallyes on my whip! y'all aint ready fo this shizzle!
hey Howrad, Dat Riv is da bomb dawg. I would cautious if I were bidding on that car on ebay, it looks suspicous like it might be photoshopped and the tires are such a low profile I can hardly see them. At least you're keepin it real with Buick mags.lol
I think the real problem is - these DONK guys take a fairly decent car and then cut/chop/hack their stuff into them to make them be able to crawl along with 22" .... 24" .... 42" ?!?!?! Rims never spending a dime under hood, and THEN put them up for sale. Its not like they've built them to personally enjoy them ... and now the car is SOooo hacked up that (in this case us BUICK enthusiasts) it cant be put back and enjoyed as it should have been. 5 ... 10 .... 15 years from now that car will be worthless to a true 60's/70's car enthusiast becauses of those hacked fenders and rear wheel wells and butchered suspension.
Very true, these cars do get hacked up, that car sucks, I was just commenting on how things were getting a little personal, and I, personally am against body mods, like shaved handles, and moldings, I love classics the way they are! But I do like the pro touring look, with the "stuffed rim", disk brakes, and motor upgrades, I'm going that route with my Rivi now, and still have people going, why did you get those rims? I have billet 18's and 20's, I mean come on...
