It might interest you to note that the Panic guy posts on Moparts.com also (Ejit) and the guy is consistently a discordant PITA poster. He can be civil at times, but it never seems to take much of anything to send him off the deep end. He seems to me to always be embroiled in a flame war of some kind or in general just being a jerk. One guy was asking some bare bones questions about Edelbrock carbs and Panic ripped him... I sometimes wonder if he simply enjoys making trouble and stirring things up (his occupation on Moparts says "anarchist"), or if he's just a hot head. The guy has some good info, but it's so wrapped up in brown stuff, you wonder if it's worth fishing for it. If you guys do want to retain the friendly helpful atmosphere you have over here, and I have never suggested this to anyone before, but you might just want leave that guy locked out.
It's good to know people who are very knowledgeable. It only sucks when it all goes to their head and they feel as though they have to criticize other people. People like that are so hard to deal with, it's easier to just do it yourself and learn things the hard way. Even if they are wrong about something, they will never admit and always blame something (or someone) else. I was reading what panic had to say about PCV calibration, heck, I never even thought about that concept. Whether or not his material was hijacked from someone else, it is very helpful to others who read about it. Who thought it up is not important, all that counts is that the information gets shared and can help the rest of us who aren't as knowledgeable to understand these things. If I knew all the things these guys know, I would be more concerned with coming across as friendly than intimidating. If I wanted that I could just go to the local speed shop and listen to the Chevy guys brag how Buicks aren't meant to be souped up. If these two wanted to argue by typing on a keyboard, they should have just sent each other private messages.:spank:

I think a large percentage of the fights that go on within this board (and others) have to do with the fact that people get awfully brave sitting in front of their computer, saying whatever they want, with no fear of retribution. Some people are so frustrated at their own lack of control of the world around them, that they get an attitude when they're online. It's their only chance to say to somone "I'll show you. You're stupid", without worrying that the person that they're talking to will punch their lights out. That's the biggest problem I have with the internet....No accountability. People feel like they are safe in their own house, and they can talk tough to anyone in cyberspace. That's the reason for all the talk about lawsuits over this particular battle. Both guys want the chance to make someone accountable, but this time instead of telling mommy, they want to have a judge decide "who started it" . I think they are both jackasses. One slightly moreso than the other, but both jackasses all the same. Life is too short for this nonsense! :beer
