-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- While timing the beast, I went to start it and the key just spins to run position( not all the way around) key goes in and I can feel lock tumblers. I just feels like some thing come loose, then I notice even whith the keyoff the GEN light is on, can anyone help a green horn with a 72 GS? Thanks bunches __________________
The most likely cause here is the switch itself. If you have voltage at the ignition coil, there is either a short to voltage, or a defective switch. The easiest way to check it would be to disconnect the switch connector from the switch, and see if the light goes out. If so, the switch is likely the cause.
