ignition problems

    I have to wiggle the key and the steering wheel to turn my car on, any advice on what to do. I had a new key made, but same problem.

    It is most likely your Ign. cylender that is bad. You will have to replace it to solve the problem. One other thing just came to mind on this. You may have to replace the little nylon gear that controls the steering lock. I had one break on my 72 skylark and the dumb thing wouldn't let me take the key out of the ignition. It turned out the ign. was fine and a quick trip to the wrecking yard came up with a new one. Some lock smiths will still have this piece. Good Luck

    Also the key pops out of the ignition, while the car is on

    If you can take the key out of the ign. while the car is on than the cylinder must be replaced.
