Had a 7029245 on my car,can anybody tell me what this is. 29245KB1189?? Don't know what the hell is going. thanks a.j.
Most Q-jets started with 702 (1965-69 Federal Emissions), 703 (1965-69 California and Alt), 704 (1970-75), 1705 (1976-79) 1708 (1980 and up). Some Carter produced Q-jets left off the 70, so that may still be a 7029245, that would be a Federal 1969 Buick carburetor produced on the 118th day of 1969, KB would be a plant code. That is my best guess, someone will correct me if I am mistaken.

Thank you guys,First the carb is on my 69 350 4speed,It was running rich so I had this guy look at it and he,s telling me that is not the right carb for my car.All quads start with a 7 and it is off of a marine eng!! This is why I love this board..... thanks again
It isnt a marine quadrajet. There are many 69 quadrajets that are stamped without the 70. Probably half of the ones I see for all makes of GM and either Carter or Rochester. I have not heard why it was done, but it was. So, it is correct for your car, which is nice. If it is running rich, it probably needs a good update.
