I want to restore a 75 LeSabre convertible here in Illinois. I am having a hard time finding body parts for this car around here. Every time I come across one of these car's the owner is planning on using it for the demo derby races this summer or the car is already in beautiful shape and saved. I'm looking to see is anyone would have one of these cars sitting around that would like to see it put to good use. Instead of being smashed and crushed up and having the parts gone forever. I would like to buy the car at a reasonable price and reuse the parts on my car. PM me if you can help.
GO google desert auto or west coast sheet metal-you will not find much in the salt belt there. I am a fan of Riv's and Electra's , i know they can be tough, but its out there.
There's a guy in Minnesota that sells stuff on ebay. He's got a couple junk yards filled with the old big cars from the 70s, and he finds me a lot of parts for my 73. If you'd like his email pm me and I'll set you up. Just be patient, sometimes it takes a while to find parts for these old cars. But there is a lot out there still. I just started reading on the board and found lots of sources for parts.
Use SearchTempest to check all the Craig's List for different cities...your best bet will probably be FL GA AL SC NC.....you can then have someone local check it out and then drive it home or ship it.....there are a bunch of old Buicks here in the Tampa Bay area and you have to be patient..there are some great deals if you are willing to wait.
lemme know if you are gonna be near KC any time and you can stop by and see if any 75 parts i have interest ya. if it's a body part that is different than a 74 requires, its pretty much on the menu. pm me an email address and i will send some pics.
