Wow!I think i just invented a better mouse trap, for outdoors anyway.I have a pretty good size stainless steel bowl i water my dogs with down by the shed.Well the other day it was half empty & i noticed a mouse had went in for drink & drowned because the stainless steel bowl was to slick for him to crawl out:grin: So i've been leaving the bowl half empty like that and have since caught 3 more mice that way, actually had 2 in there this morning:Brow: I suppose this is the mice's closest or only source of water, they crawl up & either jump or slip into the water & can't get out .Then they tread water till they drown:laugh: What a way to kick the bucket::shock: Some may think this cruel-I mean to offend no one,but it seems to working for me,the less mice i have around the better.:TU: If only i could patent this some way,get rich then i'd buy a 71 GSX,72GSX & 72 Stage1 4-Speed!:3gears:
Only problem with that is mice outside aren't usually the one's causing the trouble. And someone's already invented a better mouse trap. ou: There are ones now that act like a wide set of pliars, it clamps down on the mouse and all you have to do is push down on the back to have the mouse drop into a trash can, hole in the ground, neighbors pool, etc. Reusable and you don't ever have to touch the rodent. You might have been catching mice in that bowl all along. I don't think cats are the only animal that eats mice...
Hey Steve, With my "trap" you don't have to touch the mouse carcass either you simply pick up the bowl & contents, walk slowly or briskly-your choice-to the edge of the woods & sling dead mouse or mice along with the water into the woods as far as you wish!p I forgot to mention if you plan to try this you need to place a block of wood or something similiar beside the bowl for the mice to crawl up on and use as a diving board:grin: Oh these mice are not innocent, they can freely roam from the shed to my house and back, not to mention inhabit my GS or my parts cars! I tried having cats once, yeah they occasionly caught a mouse & dropped on my deck for me to see, then they begin to sit by the front door waiting for handouts all the time-Refusing to hunt for their supper anymore.I couldn't tolerate that,i won't say how,but they had to go!:eek2: :spank:
:blast: here kitty - kitty - kitty - kitty :blast: :blast: :eek2:     L  L
Hmmm, another good one is a 67 Buick Skylark. Leave one outside for 15 minutes and you'll have 487 mouse carcasses to dispose of.
If you want to increase the mouse capitivy count, just add some bacon grease to the water, and they wll be diving off the car to get in.:beer
sounds like the beer can or pop can hornet traps we leave out in the summer. same idea on a smaller scale. what i need is a trap to capture wild ben franklins
I always use live traps and then let them go at a park a couple of miles out of town. I won't kill something if I don't have to. Then again, I haven't seen any mice since the stray cats moved in under my porch. - Freed
