Hello all, What's the latest technology in satin/ seude finishes? I am re- painting my stripped Astro Blue poly '65 Skylark, and I saw this amazing Gran-Prix in the same color done with a "satin" finish! Darn thing looked so good.
I'm going to keep all of the factory chrome and... silversparkle inside the "halo" top trim.
The good news.... I live in Southern California, so no Laquers :( and Im painting with a mid line HVLP gun combo :((
I realize the methods are kinda brutal, but how bad can it be?
I know that prep is the key to any sucessful paint job , and am always thinking about sanding between those side trim pins!! :) Well Im asking for any advice on either inexpensive base coat satin clear coat, or HVLP "California style" auto painting suggestions. All are appreciated!
    Thanks,
    -Andrew
