Hello all, What's the latest technology in satin/ seude finishes? I am re- painting my stripped Astro Blue poly '65 Skylark, and I saw this amazing Gran-Prix in the same color done with a "satin" finish! Darn thing looked so good. I'm going to keep all of the factory chrome and... silversparkle inside the "halo" top trim. The good news.... I live in Southern California, so no Laquers and Im painting with a mid line HVLP gun combo ( I realize the methods are kinda brutal, but how bad can it be? I know that prep is the key to any sucessful paint job , and am always thinking about sanding between those side trim pins!! Well Im asking for any advice on either inexpensive base coat satin clear coat, or HVLP "California style" auto painting suggestions. All are appreciated! Thanks, -Andrew
