    I'm beholden unto myself...

Congratulations Ronnie, keep your foot on the loud pedal, til ya make some distance, then maybe ya can ease back a bit and enjoy the family and cars some more...JIM

Hey Ronnie I've been running my company El Solo for the last two years and I've finally hit a point of growth where I can no longer keep going at it by myself. I've had to turn away jobs which I hate doing but I will not risk my reputation by subbing out the jobs either. Like Briz mentioned I dont want to have to clean up after them. I will be hiring a guy or two in the new year/spring to help out. By the sounds of it you're doing really well and I'm glad to hear that. In time your company will grow. keep pushing hard brother, Cheers!!

TexasT Texas, where are you from

Use the 80/20 rule. This is where 80% of you money is made on 20% of your customers. You need to make sure you keep up on who your best customers are and "fire" the dead beats and non profitable ones. This will give you more time to find some more of the good 20% customers who are the best money types or just charge more for the less profitable ones so they can become the good ones or they will "fire" themselves to find the service for cheap.

It isn't a hobby and you have to turn that profit.

Great you are out there gettin it done. I hope you have hired a book keeper and have a accountant making your records legit. If not, you NEED to. Tax probs ain't no joke.

I was a regional sales rep for Hotsy in the 90’s. Would demo machines to large commercial companies , large farms , trade shows etc. one day I got a call from a high end ice cream stand. Seems like everyone tosses their gum on the concrete while waiting in line. The hot water machines dissolve the gum away as the owner was using a putty knife taking hours. Opened a whole new market. Bank drive throughs are good too. But some require u to capture the contaminated water for epa requirements. Just some thoughts. Good luck.

I used to work for a small movie theater chain installing theater seats.
There was always a need for cleaning store fronts ,sidewalks and walk ways.
Where people spill there drinks, gum, popcorn grease, etc.
Find a local theater chain in your area. The need for a sanitary theater will be more important than ever after covid.
    Just a suggestion!

    TrunkMonkey Totally bananas

People will (almost always) pay another to do what they cannot or will not do themselves.
And almost anything that you find to do in that arena is "touching" something next to it that will afford you diversity in whatever you find that pays.

All of those people that toss "Jack of All Trades, Master of None" baloney, are likely the one's that will put your kids through College and pay off the mortgage if your home.

A "One trick pony" with a broken leg is called "Alpo".
