After 7 months and 6 days the car has been completely rebuilt from stem to stern, and I was able to pick it from from the body shop. And its not raining today!!!
In all it got a new 455 engine, rebuilt trans with shift kit and torque converter, rebuilt 3.08 posi rear, new complete suspension, re-chromed bumpers, stainless exhaust, new 15 '' rallies, and that is just for the mechanicals.
The body was totally disassembled, repainted in white, with the black and red GSX stripes. next week it goes to upholstery shop for new seat covers and carpet. Then it's show time
Untill then, I get to drive it!!!!!!:)

I would also like to say Thank You to all of the board members who have assited me during the course of this project, with out all of the help and parts, this car never would have become what it is today.:beer :beer :beer

If you can take some pictures and at least download them to your computer, I'd be happy to post them if you email them to the address in my signature.

    Congratulations! :beer

I can do that tommorow, with my wife's help. Thanks.

I have come across something on this car that needs to be changed out quick, I cant do the headers, I cant get the car into the storage building, as they drag. So as soon as I can find a nice set of stock exhaust manifolds these are gone.

    AWESOME, Mark!:bglasses::TU:

I'm still trying to figure out the "Truck", so I can come and pick up that engine.:Do No: I think I've narrowed it down to the ECM, causing the Injectors not to fire.:Smarty:

When I get it to "fire" and STAY running, I'll be there to SEE how that car turned out, and to pick up those parts!:TU:

Should be SOON! (probably within next 2 weeks):TU:

Just a thought Mark, you could always trade for or buy some shorty headers. :Brow:

    Jarrod,

Our car is tucked away safely in the garage, you need to pop on over and go for a drive some afternoon.

I made a deal on those exhaust manifolds, he's also going to buy the headers from me. We both win.

    Pictures will be up today

    Rick,
If I put the T/A shorty headers on this car will it raise the the exhaust up to normal factory height? I need the clearance room underneath to go up the ramp into the building.
If they will work, I would be up for that idea.
    Thanks,
    mark

Yep, the reason I suggest it is that I've pretty much destroyed my KB headers, by smacking them on the road, they hang to low. With the shorties you will have the same ground clearance as you would with the stock manifolds. It becomes a personal choice issue, do you want the look and performance of the headers with the same ground clearance or do you prefer the look of the stock manifolds? ....Or you could raise the front end a number of different ways, new springs can be ordered custom height for around $150 etc...:beer

Jim and Jeff Hamblin Built the engine and did all the mechanical work to the car. They are in Cedar Rapids, IA and have built several motors for me. Both are veterans to the Buick big blocks, and ran a stage 1 GS. They were sponsered for several years by Postons. Great Guys to work with.
The paint and body work was done by Andrews, also In Cedar rapids. T hey have painted 6 cars for me so far and I have been very happy with the quality.

    stock pieces

Perhaps you could have some stock manifolds ported. They look good and perform well. I paid 150.00 for mine to be done. They were cleaned, ported, and painted. I would suggest spending the time to find some nice pieces before you send them off.

Some of the manifolds I found were pretty ratty. I finally found a set off a Vegas car that were nice enough to send off.

    Good Luck.:)
