I have a friend with a '95 Ford Escort long roof five speed with a 1.9 four cylinder. It's a family hand-me-down, but he asked me about boosting some performance, just for the fun of it. I don't know too much about this stuff, as the only thing I usually work with is my 350. I was hoping to find him some bolt on stuff that is relatively cheap (i.e. no new engines or turbos) that we can do just for fun. I realize this may be near impossible, but if he wants to invest in it, then I am willing to help him. All thoughts and ideas are appreciated.

    Thank you,
    Jacob

Ok, the best way to up the power on it would be to get some of those altezza lights, and one of those spoilers that make the car look like a shopping cart.
Then get the biggest most chrome muffler you can find and put 2 of them on the car. But, make sure they are crooked, or you wont get the right amount of power out.
Your going to need some neon lights, and a body kit "to be different".
Make sure to get some wild colored over-sized rims.
Dont forget to paint random pieces of the interior a color that clashes with everything else.
Oh, and most important, do not forget to sticker-charge it. As many stickers as possible. It doesnt matter if you dont have the parts to go with the stickers. Each sticker is worth about 5hp to the wheels!!!

please dont take me serious, im just kidding around and mean no harm to anybody by it........

I think Chris Paape did some innovative mods to his escort wagon and had some good results with it.....
Basicly what he did was strap my old 72 GS hood to the roof with some beefy nylon straps and drive it from Illinois back up to Minnesota, claimed it acted as an airfoil, really sticking it to the road.
At the very least the shock value made all other cars on the road to back down and get out of his way.

    Good Luck

    Dana
