I need of my dream. Boattail Riv 71-73

Discussion in 'Cars wanted' started by Boattail _Dream, Jan 28, 2006.

  1. I don't really care which year, or which specific make. I live in New York near the small city of Binghamton. I'm looking for any Boattail that is affordable and all intact. Doesn't have to be running or 100% drivable, but definitely restorable. And either close enough for me to pick it up or need some way to have it shipped cheap. WHat is the cheapest way to have one shipped? I highly appreciate any help that anyone can give. Thanks

check on Ebay, they always have boattails on there. The cheapest way to get a car to your house is drive there your self and pick it up on a trailer. The next best way is to pay a shipping company and put it on an open car trailer. Here are a few on Ebay right now:

    Rob,

Put your first name in your signature, I hate to talk to you and call your Dream...... :puzzled:

How much is it you're willing to pay for your Boattail ?
And isn't the cheapest way of transporting a car just driving it ?

Hitch-hike your way up, and drive the car home.
It's fun, and it's like a short holiday away from it all :TU:

  5. Erik,
Thanks for the tip I'll try and fix that. I've actually thought about driving the car back. Unfortunately, driveable cars are usually expensive and the car I'm currently looking at is in Portland, OR and I live in Owego, NY giving me an approximately 41 hour drive. that's a lot of hours to be putting on a old car I just got.

It's a shame you are not closer to Oklahoma...I have 5 of them in various stages of driveability and affordability...

White, Blue, Black, Gold. Buckets, bench, 71, 72, 73...

My father has a 71 Boattail that hes selling shortly. He bought it off his friend. So far he replaced the trunk lid & tires. Its gold exterior and white and black or green interior. The inside is in prestine shape very very nice. The outside could use a good washing and compounding. Email me face0nmilkcart0n@aol.com for more info
