I have a 61 Special with a 215 V8. I have never driven the car, but my father drove it up until 95 when the reverse went out in the trans. The car has been sitting ever since. Now I have it and want it running. would run when he parked however it is froze now. Should I go ahead with a rebuild or is there a way to get it unfroze???????? My dad said it has a burnt valve. I just want it running so I can move it around the yard for now, and to put it in and out of the garage to work on it.(Heavy car to push)
    Any info would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Preston

Sounds like your gonna need a rebuild, between the engine being stuck and a burnt valve, no since in even trying to start it, pull the plugs and load it up with some oil, (put the oil in the spark plug holes so that the oil can set on top of the pistons, it can help free the rings up from the block, put the plugs back in after you file them up with oil)... let it set for a few weeks to try to free the motor up, a stuck motor is a real pain to take down.
