I made a post about this in the Race car and chassis tech section, but I don't know if that was the right section for it. (Other post has been deleted) I need a measurement of the bushing to bushing center distance of the rear end lower control arms on a 1966 Skylark. I got a measurement of 22 1/4 when I checked it a while back, but I don't have my vehicle close by to check my measurement. Thanks for any help.
I came across this. It should provide you with the answers you're looking for. http://www.leverfamilysite.com/Rear_Control_Arm_Bushing_Dimensions.htm Rear lower for 64-72 are the same. Rear upppers - 64-67 are longer than the 68-72.
I measured 22" to 22-1/8" on the set I have out of a '65. Still have the old bushings which accounts for some variation. The Level family site is a good one! Mentioned it several times.
Thank you all for checking. I've been doing a lot of googling. Found some new ones on Jegs that have the center distance listed at 22". Didn't know they actually listed the specs. This was one of the Jegs branded ones. The QA1 and Hotchkis didn't have the dimension. When I measured mine, they were still on the car, and the car was on jackstands with rear end hanging. At that time, with 40 yr old bushings, I got 22 1/4". Appreciate you checking.
