I'll know tomorrow if I'm going, I still have my room ..or should, looks like I'll be paying for it tonight. I left this morning and about 30 miles out the WH1 just quit on me, I have no spark, have tried swapping the coil pack and the module as well, tomorrow morning I'm getting a new crank sensor, if that fixes it I'll be on my way, if it doesn't I'll have to cancel my room and sit at home working on my car and sulk!
    This Blows!

Sounds like your car and pauls have been hanging out together. Good luck with the fix.

Well, I'm done for....the crank sensor got it running but the module is shot, out of the 2 modules I've got one misfires badly the other runs great for 20 min then shuts down...I have to get an 85 module and until I do I have no car!
    Again, this blows!

Well Kurt, it looks like the wagon will be the only one out of your collection in Salem:( . The 68 is sitting here with the front of the engine apart (not the reason I didn't go though). The water pump blew big time and took the timing cover with it.

    Dave,
Wow, that is nasty, I put that pump on it in 1996 so at least it lasted a pretty long time but Yowza! never seen one fail that badly! it must be some kind of Peterson related curse. The wagon is in Salem right now though.
I should have my new module on Tuesday or Wednsday, found a new one on ebay with a new coil pack for about $180 and the guy shipped it this morning.

Nice isn't it! All of a sudden too. No leaking or noises just BANG! It started raining here today by the time I gathered all the parts. So, I guess I'll put it back together when Charley is done with us tomorrow.

    Wow Dave,
No warning at all? that is strange...of course none of my cars never played by the rules anyway

    Back on the road

It's finally running again. I found out I have several bad 350 timing covers. I guess I can get rid of them now.

    .

The Peterson related curse carried over to Salem :eek2:  . Had a "gremlin" on Sunday night. But all is wonderful now and she loved the 400+ mile drive home.
