Condition is always subjective. I always ask for more pics if I'm not sure. I'm so anal that I actually saw all the pits in the original ebay pic you showed. I tend to pick fly sh!t out of pepper anyway though. It's been my experience that a "few pits" almost always means "so many pits and hidden imperfections not shown in the picture provided that you wouldn't want to put it on your car." ou:
burned on ebay just got my HEMMINGS in the mail today with a COKER tire flyer in it.i was thumbing threw it and saw they are carrying new center caps for your car. granted their are 50.00, but no headaches.i still haven't recieved my RIVIEW yet.anyone take notice to the new grade of shi**y paper last months issue was printed on.
Riv iew Apparently Sean had a serious family medical emergency and it took priority, as I'm sure we would all understand. Ray Knott # 1 is looking into the situation to get things back on track, and help Sean out.
eBay Joe, be cool!!! you know like "Joe Cool". This guy may not get to a computer like you and I do so I would use the eBay form on there web site to get the sellers phone number and if thst didn't work and the third e-mail did not work then its time for:blast: . You all your options first before you get:rant: , because its highly unlikely a eBay member with a perfect feed back score would burn you on the item you bought. AL :Smarty: .
When I got back tonight, I checked my mail and this person replied. She said: "sorry if the cap is not up to your needs... we will gladly reduce the price or refund the purchase price....not including shipping..... you then would have to return the cap anyway...... let me know what can be done to solve this problem what do you think would be a fair price for the cap?" The fact is, I don't want this piece of junk..........and shipping it back to British Columbia would cost at least $15......I paid $25 for the damned thing with the shipping included!:af: Would I be unreasonable to tell this person that I want $25 refunded and they can pay for their own shipping? I'm just glad this isn't a $1,000 grille. I feel like I'm being cheap, but I was had. I really need some unbiased advice before I reply to this person. :bglasses:
Al, your intuition was correct. Being cool about things really pays off. All's well that ends well! To make a long story short, after this person replied to my request, I informed her that what she sold me was not accurately described, and the part was completely worthless to me. I also mentioned to her that I did not feel that I should have to pay for return shipping, as the shipping would cost more than the part was worth. She agreed, and promptly refunded the entire amount to paypal......and in return I left some positive feedback for her as she requested. I like it when someone stands behind what they sell......if all ebayer's did that it would make things easier for all of us. I wonder what would have happenned if that were a $1,000 GRILLE?:Brow:
eBay Joe, real important on eBay to ask a lot of questions when buying anything and don't assume anything and you will find all your sells and buys will be good ones. If the guys feedback or return on your question is not good stay away from that one. Most of the ones on eBay with excellent feedback will be very helpful, AL
I have tons of $25 POS's I bought off ebay in a corner of the garage. I have tons of ebay stuff I should not of gotten for the lowly price I paid. I look at it as hit or miss. While I'de hardly call a $25 purchase I'm not quite satisfied with "getting burned"...many others with only 3 cones might of found this a perfect match for their car. "Good condition" is a very subjective term! Let the buyer beware! Steve
center caps do you have anymore for a 65 wildcat. someone needed mine and i do not think they are going to be returned if you know what i mean. i've had this wildcat forever and nothing ever stole off it and over the past year it just keeps getting picked on. lost the whole top of the motor over winter while it was in stoage.
