    Hey everyone,
haven't been on the board much lately, just checking in and have some more progress to update everyone on. My 56 was back in the paint booth last week and I had all the door jams painted. I found a site online that I was able to get all of the original style weather stripping through, so all of that has been replaced. I just dropped my car off at the upholstery shop this morning. Everythings getting torn out and replaced, from the headliner all the way down to the carpet. I can't wait to see how it turns out. I will post pics as soon as I get them. Talk to you all later.

    Progress on the interior

I got a call from the upholstery shop and they needed me to come by ASAP. I knew there were bound to be problems, just another bump in the road. I get to the shop and my car is inside of the shop, all of the door panels, seats and floor are all out. I look at the now exposed floor and it is rusted all the way through in a couple of spots; drivers side where you put your feet and the pasenger side is just the same. My upholstery guy gives me a couple of options as to what I can do. I can have my metal guy take out the bad pieces and weld in replacements; I would have to get the car towed over to his shop, and he is about three weeks out before he can even begin to fix it. My second option is to have the upholstery shop go ahead and remove the bad spots and weld in replacements. Once the new pieces are in he will apply a Rustoleum kind of product to prevent the spread of more rust, and finally over that he will apply a sort of roll on bed liner, which will act as a sound barrier and add extra protection. He will still be on schedule to have it finished by the begging of next week. I will continue to post updates and pics as I get them.
