Good afternoon everybody! I'm Jared, and I'm currently active duty Air Force, stationed in North Carolina. I've been the owner of the new (to me) '67 GS 400 that's in my signature block since May of this year. I've already made a few posts, bought a few parts and gotten quite a bit of help from all of the guys here on the forum. I'm so thankful to have this resource at my disposal, and am excited to meet and get to know more of you. I'd love to find some Buick events on the East Coast or the midwest that I could get too and meet some of you. My father had one of these cars years and years ago before he passed away, and I've been looking for the right one to purchase for several years. I finally found this one in New Jersey, thought it spent most of it's life in Kansas City from what I've been able to find out. It was originally a 400ci//4-speed car, and it's currently in the shop getting a muncie M-22 (from Midwest Muncie), and a Gearvendors Overdrive. I've also got all the bits and pieces on the way to convert from the original drums that are still on the car, to a four-wheel disc brake conversion from Right Stuff Detailing. So expect pictures in the near future. Below are a couple of pictures of Lucy (as she has been affectionately named), so that you guys can take a look...
If you are stationed at Seymour Johnson visit us in October at Galot: http://www.v8buick.com/index.php?threads/new-muscle-car-event-in-n-c.342891/#post-2970256 For Buick only muscle car events, I think you may need to travel out of N. C.
Welcome! I’m located along the coast in SC and have yet to run into any other Buick’s in the area. Not too many of us around here I guess so finding any Buick events will be tough. Very nice ride!
Welcome to the forum, Jared. I like your car. Anything with a Star Wars air cleaner is cool in my book.
Thanks for all of the hello's and the info guys. @dukec - I'm not sure off the top of my head what the tire sizes are, but the wheels are 18" x 8" Riddlers. However, I'm hopeful to have 15" torque thrust II's and 27" BFG rubber by the end of the year. Do you want to buy some wheels? LOL
Jared Thanks for the offer but I don’t think I want to pay freight all the way out here. Plus I don’t think I can get 18 inchers under my cars as both are lowered.
Hi Jared, welcome from Long Island,NY.we are having a big meet in Maryland this week, why not take a ride here?We are on the East Coast.Lots of luck with that beautiful car,my first new car was a 67 Skylark.Bruno.
