Looks right for an Oldsmobile. Of course then there are the blue (455) Olds engines.

The pipes are a little rusty but they work. At least I can run the car without pissing off the neighbors. pipes 001.JPG pipes 002.JPG

I need to order a carb kit and just want to be sure it is the correct one. My parts guy thinks it is a blue streak 283D. I can only find 2 #s on the carb 1743 passenger side and 1721 on the driver side. any help would be great.:TU: carb 001.JPG carb 002.JPG carb 004.JPG carb 005.JPG

I pulled the seats and console belts and all the glass from the rear window. I lost count on the glass chunks after 9999.:Dou: Shop vac is a great tool:TU: I ran the wires for the neutral safety switch and will hit it all with the wire brush in the AM. interior 001.JPG interior 002.JPG interior 003.JPG interior 004.JPG

I put a new set of AC plugs in yesterday and it runs much better. :TU: I should have a carb kit this week. I have most of the int lights working and need to go get bulbs this morning so I can put it all back together and see if this old tach works:pray: wiring 001.JPG wiring 002.JPG wiring 003.JPG wiring 004.JPG wiring 005.JPG wiring 006.JPG

66electrafied Just tossing in my nickel's worth

Just noticed something in the pics; - you really need to get a breather-style oil cap on the driver's side valve cover, otherwise your PCV system will not work right. This could cause run-ability issues...especially with vacuum, so there may actually be nothing wrong with your carb.

Thanks Marc, I had never thought of that I will see if I can get one today. I do need a carb kit bad as My secondary's are stuck solid. We played with the carb and the timing yesterday and it seams a lot better.:TU:

I got a new toy today. My father had this in His box for years and not touched it in many . Probably decades :Dou: I will say it made tuning the nail head way better:bla: I had no luck getting a vented oil cap so i left the cap off for tuning purposes and now it runs like a scared cat (it has balls) analyzer 001.JPG analyzer 002.JPG analyzer 003.JPG analyzer 004.JPG
