I see a whole list of stuff wrong on that car. Among other things, the "Stage 1" status. Isnt that a 1970 Stage 1 air cleaner decal? Must have been the only one produced in 68! Hopefully nobody gets taken on this mis-represented car. You wonder if the seller knows or is he just mis informed?

    Could be both.

....and it's not just the air cleaner decal, it's the whole air cleaner. That's a 69 air cleaner with possibly a 70-71 snorkel or a 69 snorkel with the wrong foams. I've never seen foams that tortured. They are probably 350 foams....i.e. taller

...and David is right. It's a 69 rear bumper too.

How about the fact that it is a SKYLARK!!! VIN indicates a 1968 SKYLARK Custom.

Somebody better look under all that just applied rustproofing, too.

Jeeez...your right Brad! Its a Skylark to boot. I glanced right over the VIN. Has anyone emailed the seller?

I sent him one as well. Looks like he revised it to read "1968 Skylark convertible" Even still, the description is very mis leading.

looking at the legendary auto interiors catalog, the upholstry is 68 skylark custom, NOT GS

The '68 GS used the Skylark Custom Deluxe interior with a "GS" door badge, so that is the correct interior, I can't tell if it has the "GS" door badge.

Power antenna was not available on convertibles from the factory.

Did the power antenna come from the factory on the passenger's side or the driver's side? Or is that just 1969?

Also, how about 1969 -- could ya get a ragtop with a power antenna then? just curious.

Yeah it's not right ...but it would be a great driver I am not trying to defend the guy but he did say "Stage One Clone" in the description. He looks like a dealer and for most if it's not a Chevelle they don't have a clue. Still just for cruzing around that would be great to pile the kids in and go get ice cream!! :beer

    Re: 68/69

He added "Clone" after he was reminded what he had was a Skylark and not a GS...

Plus a Stage 1 Clone is one thing; he still called it a GS though.

Oh, if he still is trying to call it a GS, then that's not right even after he was informed differently?! I wish people would just be honest..call it a GS stage One Clone. :Do No:

He now has called in a "Skylark Convertible". At least he came out and heeded the corrections we sent him. That's cool. Some guys wouldn't have.

Absolutely cool of him. First time I've ever seen anyone change their listing to be honest when told of their errors.

I've told a few guys myself on some items of interest -- no change, item sold, somebody is probably screwed. Seems to be the typical approach.

Thats surprising to see as I had thought that Gentry Lane was a top notch dealer in Toronto. Their forte is Lambos and Porsche but with the recent muscle car mania it looks like they have jumped on board as well..
