been tring to get time to work on the car but been busy. you can see in the picture that i got rid of the long one piece rubber heater core lines and made some out of stainless and going to powdercoat them to give them some uniform under the hood. once i get these lines done i can run the motor hard with the new turbo setup.

Re: hurt the 401 turbocharged nailhead .. update since rebuilt

wanted to update alittle on this post. I ended up putting just under 200 miles on the completed car this summer. Motor is up and running and made some really nice power but the 67mm turbo with with a 60mm exhaust wheel was WAY to small.. I ended up over revving the turbo and waiting on a New s475 borg warner to arrive any day now. I went with a 75mm turbine wheel, 85mm exhaust wheel and a 1.25a/r.. I am running a stock camshaft from a 66gs and not looking to make any changes to the cam yet. I like the nice manners with a small cam. I did machine the doc mod with a spacer machined in also and the divider cut like a airgap intake. I found the nailhead loved 7psi boost and when I started creeping the boost up it only cam alive more. I ran it without the boost and wasn't fun compared to the turbo. I will be running 93 octane only and want to see how much power I can make without meth on 93 and keep it safe. timing is locked at 32 and fuel pressure is at 7psi until it hits boost and goes up 1 psi for every pound of boost.
