hi, i'm installing a tremec in my 69 wagon and need a hurst shifter handle. anyone know a part number or have one for sale. this is a bench seat car so i'm not sure if its the same as a bucket seat handle. thanks pete
Pete there both the same I have been trying to get someone to reproduce this but no luck. They are like the unicorn and when you find them they are around $250.00.. For just the handle..I have a couple similar.. Do you want an exact?? Do you have the Competition shifter or do you need that also? Randy
i've got the tremec which has a shifter already. i need the handle but it doesn't need to be exact. it mounts with 2 bolts about three quarters of an inch apart. i just want something with the correct curve. lots on ebay but most of them don't specify exactly what they will fit. pete
Pete I have a Cutlass shifter that is the same hole pattern but has a bend on the bottem that curves toward the driver.. I also have a handle that has one hole.. I will send you some pictures after work..Randy
Handles The one with Hurst written out on the handle I'm not sure what it is from but will work out if you if have the two bolt version.. It will need to be rechromed it is rusty.. The one with the H on the handle is the cutlass handle..It will fit into the same Competion shifter as the Buick.. They are held in by a stud and is welded together.. I am showing that one from the side..Because it is bent towards the driver.. Scince you have a bench seat I would guess the Hurst handle one will work out best .. Let me know if you want either one. just looked on ebay and found part numbers galore 6836 4331 6900 7236 just to name a few. no info as to whether they fit mopar ford or gm. just want to make sure i get it right the first time. thanks pete
