Did the :3gears: :3gears: Buicks have these emblems ?? guy is selling repro's on Ebay and listing them for Buicks...... o No:
I don't recall seeing them on a Buick, but then again, I didn't know about Motion building Buick cars.
The Motion car is the only Buick I have ever seen with one. It was a Pontiac /Olds thing back then --at least around here.
Sort of.......... Mine has one....but only because the original owner told me he put it on when the car was new. He used to hang out at the local speed shop in Huntington West Virginia, and beat up on all the other "stock" muscle cars back then. Somewhere he said he has pictures of it.....if he ever finds them. John
Those emblems were available when the customer bought a Hurst shifter or the Hurst wheels. Very cool looking plate! :TU:
well....that brings up the question.....weren't ALL 68-72 4-speed Buick A-body cars "Hurst Equipped " ???
You are right,Alan. But the "Hurst Equipped" emblem was like a status symbol and let the world know that your car had some of the best equipment on it.
Some "A" bodies didn't...... Chevelles actually came with Muncie shifters from the factory. JUNK!!!!! I recently restored a 71 LS5 4spd car for a gentleman, and it like all 4 spd chevelles came with a "Munchy" John
