How would you suggest cleaning these valve covers??

    Our dishwasher at our house has 2 hands. We don't have one of those fancy machines in our house...

    Definitely not new junk part number is "69455" or "45569" (too depressed to go look right now) but very nice 1969 vintage valve covers (I have a very crisp NOS pair).

    This , also my machine shop will bake them first to remove any grease / grime .


    Idk why people always want to go to town blasting stuff ?? Ruins the finish .

    If you want to clean and not use something abrasive I suggest soda blasting or dry ice blasting. It will not alter the surface finish. Just clean it.

    If you look for the new look I suggest glass bead blasting. Friend of mine used this on his vintage ironhead sportster and the primary cover looks like new

    bead blasting will not hurt those covers.
