Hi, I'm trying to restore the engine turned dash panel on my 55 Roadmaster 76R. NOS doesn't exist, I'm thinking some turned aluminum sheet would be the best bet. Cut it size and glue it on...
    Anyone done this before?

The panel is all scratched up, corroded and ugly. But these patterns look great when they are fresh...

There is a resto shop in northern Ohio- Seybold - that specializes in the 41 Buicks- I think they do that work...I think I've seen some adds in Hemmings too for that- search hemmings

Grab an issue of Street Rodder and start checking the small adds throughout the issue...there are a number of places that sell this stuff in stainless and aluminum.

I can't find any issues of some american hot rod magazine, I live in Germany!

My dash has a bit of that vinyl stuff on it, it looks cheap, too shiny, plasticy, and the pattern is wrong.

I need a source for turned aluminum sheet metal.

You can try these guys then...I bought some from them a few years back and it's not real cheap in price:

    FPM Incorporated
    224 Sixth Street
    Fairbury, Nebraska 68352

Note-- I don't know if the address and phone number is still the same but maybe you can Google them and check it out. I think they will sell sheets of it and/or cut it to your pattern or size.
