I'm going to re-cover my rear arm rests... What's the best way to do it?

    (1) Remove old vinyl
    (2) Spray adhesive onto frame (headliner spray adhesive)
    (3) Stretch new vinyl over armrest

    Is that it?

    THANKS

Dan I had to search quite some time to find good armrest for mine, they are rare but can be found in good condition,I will look as I may have one good one yet if I can dig it up and that would get you half way there anyway....I do not know if there is a good way to recover them as I think you could never duplicate the original ones even close at all.Just dashes would really give it to for redoing them but they do a good job I hear....Will let you know if I find you atleast one good one here........Bruce

I just want to be clear that I'm referring to the REAR armrests on a 2 door coupe (not the door armrests)...

FYI - The door armrests are available from Cars Inc....

Dan Have you bought the armrest from Cars, INC for 64-67 front panels? Are they the right kind?

Dan, my convertible had something like card board under the vinyl and shop that did my seats did the arm rest with the covers I supplied. They put thin foam glued to the metal and then used the spray stuff to stick the vinyl on and sprayed the metal back side.

Thought you were talking about front. Rear are a piece of cake. I just ordered entire interior from Legendary and rear covers were purchased. All you do is strip old covers, use existing padding or if destroyed when removing covering replace and glue on new covers. I've not installed but do have old armrests removed and have replacement from Legendary.

I dropped off my seats today at the upholstery shop, so I just had them do it...

    Thanks

Yes, I have them. They are black sponge rubber... Not "perfect" but they're fine if you have a black interior... Part # AP647 $107
