Hi all, OVER a year ago, I purchased a rear-view mirror for my 65 lark, and at that time, I also asked the seller if his passenger-side fender was in good condition, as I needed one as well, mine was (and still is) toast. I paid for both items, and shipping from Greensboro, NC to Springfield, MO. The total was $181.50. I was in contact with the seller for SIX MONTHS, and he hee hawwed and was playing the 'busy good ole boy' card. So, Now about this time, and after many months still of waiting, hoping that one day it will show up.... still nothing. I try to make contact with the seller by his Cellular phone. No dice, just an answering machine. I have left numerous messages, and have not had any returned yet. I noticed that his Ebay handle, universal-customs, had purchased an item on 09/08/2004. I know he is still around, I just do not know if I should file a mail fraud claim, or if anybody knows this character? He gave his name as 'Ray Spencer'. The Cellular phone number he gave me is 336-345-7936. Does anybody have an suggestions on what I can do? Thank you very much!
don't know what to tell you about your fraud issue. but, if you need '65 parts, have you ever been to Henderson's Salvage in Monett, Mo? last time i was there he had 3-4 64-65 Skylarks.
I would first contact his local police department and let them know that this man is committing interstate fraud by selling parts, taking money, and then failing to deliver them. Maybe a phone call from them will urge him along.
Use Ebay~! Ebay has a section on it main page for Dispute resolutions! Use them! They will get your fenders! or your momey back! Also Post a Negitive feedback about it on his feedback and write him and tell him that you will keep leaving negitive feedbacks everyday until you get your money or the fenders ! But go thru EBAY FIRST!!!!They will help you!!!!! I had the same problem! Don
I went through this same crap and got nowhere. I had the guy's name and address and a copy of the money order. The post office didn't care, EBay could give a sh** less, unless you're willing to pay them to contact the person, and the police in his town wouldn't even talk to me about it. I bought a bumper for an S10 that we have and never received it. I did however call the guy and explain to him that the next time I pass through his area, I would be paying him a visit to beat my $45 out of his a$$. :spank: Scott
It depends on the person but Ebay n paypal came through for me several times. That is if the person cares that they will never be allowed to use ebay or paypal. One guy still has his Ebay account locked but sent my items once paypal hounded him.
You can't post feedback unless you bought something from that person. Maybe buy something from him(cheap), (so he doesnt know) and you'll get his address and then you can pound on him ( :blast: ) , how far is he from you?, good luck. Slawek
Check out: http://www.ifccfbi.gov and file a complaint. Police departments from yours and his towns will contact you for information and send him a legal warning letter. I had to do this with an expensive microwave I bought on ebay. The seller ignored my emails and phone calls for months. Once he got the letter from the police, he practically begged me to give me my money back.
So true!!!! i got stung for over $3800 this past year and the police will do nothing and the people (sellers) are probably just laughing at me.
