Okay, I just put my 70, 8.2 back together and can't find the location to fill the gear oil :eek2: Maybe I'm blind, or maybe because the car isn't very high off the groud I can't see it but, where is the Fill Cap? Also, how much gear oil do I put in, 2 quarts?

    Thanks Matt.

Plug is located on the front/passenger side of the pumpkin. Don't recall how much was required when I did mine.

4 pints or so. Put it in until it dribbles out of the hole. Fill plug is visible near the No-Hop Bar on the left side of the picture. That would be the foward passenger side of the pumpkin.

Guys thanks for the help! I totally overlooked that. Well it was all for nothing anyway. I took the car off the jacks, and went for a ride. Something is thumping in the rear. I guess I'll put it back on the jack and try to figure this thing out. The original carrier went bad, non posi, and I got another open rear to replace it with. Maybe I nicked the ring gear or something. Anyone have any thoughts?

    Thanks Matt
